Plan for 2019 Gathering
We have decided no to do an overnight camp for this year. In lieu of our overnight camp, we will be holding a day-long event, on one of the days we had set aside for this year's camp (August 19th-23rd), for those who want to experience a bit of Queerest and Dearest this summer. Details are still being worked out, but you can expect this to include: time to relax and experience the outdoors, arts and crafts, games, time to connect with other LGBTQIA2S+ people and their families, meals together, and time for worship and engaging our spirituality. The location will be somewhere in the lower mainland. This event is open both to those who had already registered and those for whom the 5 day camp didn't work this year. More information to follow in the next couple of weeks!
A place to Connect
Queerest and Dearest is a 4 night, 5 day long residential camp for LGBTQIA2S+ children and adults and their family members. Anyone you consider family is invited to join us - birth, chosen, found, immediate, extended, church, or otherwise. This is a place for intergenerational connection. Camp takes place at Camp Artaban, an Anglican Camp on the unceded, traditional, ancestral territory of the Squamish nation (colonially known as Gambier Island). We will spend our time together connecting with one another, with God, with the land and with ourselves.
